Soraya Farha’s work explores what it means to be human today, in a kind of clarion call, responding to the beauty and sorrow that she witnesses in the world around her. A lifelong seeker of beauty and justice, Soraya’s journey has taken her from the banks of the Ottawa River and the shores of the Mediterranean, to the study of literature, political philosophy and law. Seeking expression that both calls upon her academic and professional pursuits, and transcends their bounds, over the last decade Soraya has turned to painting and writing from studios in Toronto and in the forest by Skeleton Lake, Ontario.
